Hello,

I have MX Kommerce version 3.71 for Windows XP, PHP/MySQL.  I had a question about the User Level discounts that are built in to the system.  I know that I can give one type of user a 10% discount by adding them to a user level discount of 10% in the admin area.

Lets say that I have customers that I want to give a markup on the value to, so instead of giving them a 10% discount, I would give them a 10% markup, so to buy the product they would actually pay 110% of the price.  Is there some way to give a user level markup instead of a discount?  Could I just put 110% in the discount area for the user level and then all products would be marked up 10 %?

Thank you,

Sirian

Hello,

The discount does not work like this. If you set 110, it will actually subtract 110% from the price. For what you want, you need to create a custom "discount" that instead of subtracting will add.

Unfortunately, we cannot help you with the custom code to implement this as we do not offer commercial support anymore and our resources are low, but maybe someone else reading this forum might be able to help you.

Razvan,

I see what you mean, it would subtract 110% from the price.  I think I completely overlooked that.

If I were to put "-10%" as the discount, would that work?  Or can I not use negative numbers in the discount area?

Thanks,

Sirian

Hello,

No, unfortunately you cannot enter a negative number as the discount will not work.
