This thread was displayed: 119 times
Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.
For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

I want to create a forma and have the results emailed. Without a database connection. This customer has a basic hosting account without a database. Is there a way to do it with MX Kollection 3?
Thanks

Hi Janice,
I assume you are using the Custom Form Wizard. If you are, the reason for the need to access a database is described in the "How to" section under "How to send form content by e-mail (without using a database)".
The explanation of the need for the database is a little vague IMHO. Below is the reason given. "Although a database table is not required to accomplish the goals of this tutorial, you must define a database connection within your site. This is not used to store data, but to allow the recovery of submitted form data when an error occurs......"
I do not uderstand why the heading includes "without using a database" when clearly you still need to use a database. ??
I realize that this does not help your customer without DB access but at least you won't waste time searching for an answer.
Regards, Rob
