MX File Upload Forum :: database change (mysql)

This thread was displayed: 0 times

Starting with 17th May 2007, Adobe Systems will stop offering support for any version of the discontinued InterAKT products. As a result, we will not answer to new support incidents starting with May 17th, 2007. Pending support incidents will still be followed in order to be closed. The product forums will remain open and be transformed in user-to-user forums. The general forums will be made read-only and not allow new posts or comments.

For more information about the affected products visit: www.interaktonline.com/Support/

John,

I am not from Interakt and understand your frustration.

I started with access and then moved to ms sql and now I have completed my moves and ended up with MYSQL and PHP.

Moving from access to ms sql was not much effort.  Most mssql admins will let you convert a access database in mssql.  Change your connection strings and everything should work.

Hi Randy

Thanks for the prompt reply wonder what happened to the InterAKT support guys, I would have thought support would have improved after being taken over by Adobe. Its as if they are not bothered now as the products are discontinued.

Again thanks for the reply :)

Hello John,

If you had ever read the support agreement, you would have known that answering to a support incident can take up to 3 days. So you should not accuse us like this. Also, you may want to read this, because I see you are not aware of it.

Randy is correct in his affirmations - if you change the connection script and build your new database keeping the exact old structure, the pages should till work fine.

Regards,
Ionut
